The procession on the road.
This song is inspired by the Santa Compaña of Galician folklore, a spectral procession of the dead said to walk rural roads at night with candles, chains, bells and prayers. Some traditions tell of a living person forced to carry the cross and lead the procession until the burden passes to another, while meeting the dead may foretell death itself.
