This song is inspired by the Strigoi of Romanian folklore, restless dead said to rise from the grave and return to torment the living, especially their own families. The song imagines a seductive female Strigoi luring a lover close before draining his life, while weaving in traditional protections, grave-opening rituals and the fear that even death may not keep her buried.
