Before Halloween, there was something older.
Inspired by the ancient Irish roots of Samhain and the night when the boundary between the living and the dead was believed to grow thin. Bonfires burned, faces were masked and food was left for returning ancestors.
As centuries passed, old seasonal customs mixed with Christian Allhallowtide traditions and later travelled across the Atlantic, helping shape the Halloween we recognise today. Beneath the masks, lanterns and autumn spectacle, the song reaches back toward an older idea: remembrance.
“Remember Us – Halloween” is less about Halloween as a modern celebration and more about the thought underneath it. The dead are not simply something to fear. They are the people who came before us. The title becomes both a request and a reminder: remember them, because one day we become the ones being remembered.
